How many days until a callback inspection in Florida?

Use the free tool — Inspection Report Responder FL

Why "how many days" doesn't have one answer

You want a number: fifteen days, thirty days, something you can circle on a calendar. Florida DBPR inspections don't work that way. The report sorts violations into three tiers — High Priority, Intermediate, and Basic — and whether you get a callback, and how soon, depends on which tier your violations landed in. There is no single day-count that applies to every establishment or every report.

What actually decides your date

The classification comes from Florida Statutes chapter 509, Florida Administrative Code chapter 61C, and the FDA Food Code as adopted in Florida. But the tier itself is not a countdown clock — it's a category the inspector assigns.

Where the real deadline comes from

The inspector's report and DBPR's own letters are what actually set your callback date or any administrative complaint deadline. Nothing in this material states a universal number of days, and no outside tool can override what your report and your DBPR correspondence say. If you're unsure, or if you've received notice of an administrative complaint or emergency order, call DBPR's Division of Hotels & Restaurants directly at 850-487-1395. Consider talking to a hospitality attorney for anything formal.

What a tool can and can't do here

A tool can read the report you paste and compute dates from that inspection — the same way a calculator adds up numbers you give it. It can decode each violation line into plain words, tell you the tier, and flag which ones typically trigger a callback or admin complaint. What it cannot do is see your kitchen, know what DBPR has actually mailed you, or replace the deadline printed on your own report. This is informational only, not legal advice, and not affiliated with DBPR or any inspector.

What to do next

Paste your actual inspection report into the free tool. It reads your own document — your own violation codes, your own inspection date — and gives you each line decoded, the tier, the fix plan in the order that protects your license, the dates computed from what you pasted, and a written corrective-action response. The first report is free; a multi-location plan is $29/month. Still confirm the real callback date and any deadline with your inspector's report or by calling DBPR at 850-487-1395.
