Free — takes 20 seconds

The charge, and what you've tried.

The company, the amount, how often, when it started, how you signed up (online, in person, a free trial), and what happened when you tried to cancel.

Free. Takes a few seconds.

Why this exists

They make it hard on purpose. A written notice makes it simple.

The phone line is the trap. A dated written cancellation that names the rule and says further charges will be disputed is what their legal department responds to — and a chargeback is what their bank responds to. This writes both.

How it works

Twenty seconds. Then a letter they can't put on hold.

01

Paste the charge

Company, amount, how you signed up, what you've tried. Nothing is saved.

02

See your right and the notice

The rule that applies and the letter, ready to send — in English or Spanish.

03

Dispute if they don't stop

The refund demand, the card-dispute statement, the FTC report and the calendar, in the full version.

Common questions

Is it really free? Is what I paste stored?

The tool describes itself as free to use, and its disclaimer says nothing you paste is stored. It also lists a paid 'Full kit' at $4.99 (one subscription) and a $49/month plan for caregivers and senior centers, so check which option applies before you start. No account is required.

Will this actually make the company stop charging me?

It gives you a written cancellation notice, the Florida or federal rule that appears to apply, and the exact chargeback steps if they keep billing you — but it can't force the company to comply. Send it by both email and mail with tracking, keep copies, and report free-trial traps or hard-to-cancel subscriptions to ReportFraud.ftc.gov. It's not legal advice and it can be wrong.

Can I get a refund for the months I already used?

No — a refund is only reasonable for charges after a valid cancellation, for the unused portion under Florida's Health Studio Act (Fla. Stat. 501.017, for example if you moved 25+ miles from your gym with no comparable facility), or for a free trial converted without clear disclosure. You shouldn't ask for a refund for months you actually used the service.

What if I send the cancellation letter and they ignore it and keep charging me?

You can dispute charges made after your cancellation date with your card issuer — generally within 60 days of the statement for credit cards under the Fair Credit Billing Act, or under Regulation E for debit cards. Attach your cancellation notice and any confirmation, and only dispute the charges that came after you cancelled, not ones for service you used. Don't just cancel the card as your only step — the balance can still go to collections.

Is this legal advice? Should I still talk to someone?

No — this explains Florida and federal cancellation rules in plain language, but it is not legal advice and it can be wrong. Read your contract's actual cancellation clause, and for an alarm or other long-term contract with a big early-termination fee, talk to a consumer attorney or call Florida's consumer line at 1-800-HELP-FLA before you rely on this.
