Do I pay the $400 late fee for each LLC I own?

Use the free tool — Sunbiz Sentinel

The short answer

If you own more than one Florida LLC or corporation, the $400 late fee applies per entity, not once for you as a person. Each LLC and each corporation must file its own annual report with Sunbiz by May 1. If an entity misses that date, that entity owes the $400 fee.

What the rule says

So if I own three LLCs?

Based on the "per entity" rule, if all three miss the May 1 deadline, you would be looking at the $400 fee for each one separately, not a single combined $400 charge. Each LLC is treated as its own case on Sunbiz.

What is not covered here

This page does not know your specific entities, your Sunbiz account status, or whether a particular filing was already submitted. We also do not have the exact statute number or any partial-payment or appeal process in the material we were given. This is not legal or tax advice.

What to do next

Confirm your own numbers directly with Sunbiz or with a professional before assuming what you owe. If you want a faster check, the free Sunbiz Sentinel tool can read your own entity documents and status pages and tell you, entity by entity, where each one stands before May 1.
